Panipat is one of the oldest and ancient citiy of India. The History of Panipat relates back to the Era of "The Mahabharata". Its old name was 'Paniprastha'. Panipat has witnessed so much blood and especially bcoz of three distructive battles in the Past 

-First Battle - 21st April 1526 
-Second Battle - 20th January 1556 
-Third Battle - 14th January 1761

Panipat, a small city for Big People .It emerged as a separate Handloom entity of the Indian Union & is considered to be the cradle of rich Indian cultural heritage. It was this holy land where, in the ancient times on the banks of the sacred river Yamuna, Rishi sang The Vedas and Lord Krishna delivered the celestial message of Bhagwad-Gita to Arjuna, which later became the foundation of Indian culture and taught. Being a `Gateway to North India’, the region has been witness to the invasion of Muslim rulers, battles of Marathas and the Sikhs. Several Hindu saints and Sikh gurus have also traversed the land of Haryana spreading their message of universal love and brotherhood. The Indian history speaks volumes of the sacrifices made by the brave sons of the soil to free the country from the shackles of the British. 

Today, Panipat has carved out its place among not only the first few fast development Cities, but also those having the highest per capita income in the Country. 

The history of the state goes back to the period of the epics. Kurukshetra, where the great battle of Mahabharata was fought between the Kauravas and Pandavas, is situated in Haryana.The state was the home of the legendary Bharata Dynasty, which gave the name 'Bharat' to India. 

Haryana continued to play an part in the history of India till the coming in of the Muslims and the rise of Delhi as the capital of British India. In 1857, the people of Haryana joined the Indian leaders in the revolt against the British Government. 

On Nov 1, 1966 Haryana was formed as a linguistic state, with the Hindi speaking areas of Punjab being assigned to it. 

The people are simple, straight forward, enterprising and hardworking. Since ancient times, they have survived many upheavals upholding the traditional glory and greatness of the land. They have preserved their old religious and social traditions. They celebrate festivals with great enthusiasm and traditional fervor. The region has its popular folklore, folksongs and musical instruments. The women are devoted and diligent and assist their men-folk on the farms. The people have simple food habits. They are known for their love of cattle and abundance of milk and curd in their diet.

The other Colour is the Colour of Satisfaction and Happiness which can be seen on the faces of thousands of people like Weavers & allied workers in the City who've prospered for the flourishing trade. With Export turnover almost crossing the mark of Seven Crores and moreover more than One Thousand Crores in the domestic market.
