Tamdil
A natural lake 6Okm from Aizawl, and 10 km from the beautiful tourist resort of Saitual village, it lies in the heart of a cool virgin forest. A dream lake that offers an ideal spot for tourist to picnic.

Vantawng
137 km away from Aizawl lies this beautiful waterfall. The highest in Mizoram, it is only 5 km away from the hill station of Thenzawl.

Champhai
204 km away from Aizawl lies this subdivisional headquarter town on the Myanmar border. Offering a cool climate and a stunning view of the hills of Myanmar. 

Tourists have to obtain an Inner Line Permit from liaison officers posted in Mizoram House at various places. Two passport size photo- graphs are required. You will have to sign in the register maintained for the purpose.
Foreigners need RAP and can be obtained from the Resident Commissioner, Mizoram House, New Delhi. Otherwise permit is to be obtained from Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

Aizawl town Is well connected by air and road to the rest of the country. Indian Airlines operates a daily service from Calcutta to Sfichar, which is also the nearest railhead (180 km). 

The car/bus journey from Sikhar to Aizawl takes six to elght hrs. Taxis are available from Sikhar to Aizawl. Buses are available from Capital Travels, Moti Travels and Mizoram State Transport. These bus services can even take you to Guwahati via Shillong. 

Local Transport 
Taxis, mostly Maruti Cars are the Chief mode of transport in the city and rates are negotiable. Buses ply on routes within the state.
