These are run by the respective state administration, where it is located. It usually offers all types – dormitories to deluxe double rooms.

Tariffs are very reasonable and dining facilities are also available. As it is government-run, there is a slight apathy towards the visitor, if he/she is a government official, by the service personnel of the bungalow. All in all, these places provide enough comfort for the amount one spends for their stay and is very popular among all the tourists. 

Bookings are usually done through the Government of India's Tourist offices or the State Tourism Department offices (see the states section for addresses and other information, on this).
